Devtank Ltd Press Release 2025-01-07 – Martin Rigley OBE
Jumping into 2025, Devtank Ltd has brought aboard Martin Rigley, officially joining the team as their Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This decision comes after a year of Martin working with the team throughout 2024 as business development manager, being a driving force for their Smart Manufacturing Data Hub (SMDH) Lighthouse Project.
Bringing Martin into the company as CCO will ensure a steady pathway to growth of the company, leading to future product development and team expansion.
CEO, Tim Telford Said:
“Martin has been a long time friend of Devtank and our team, working alongside him and his previous business Lindhurst Engineering. His requirements as a business owner led us to collaborate into designing and manufacturing our sensor products, monitoring his electricity cost and usage, as well as environmental health. His passion for this technology paired with his mountain of industry knowledge and skills makes him the perfect person for this role at Devtank.”
In 2019, Devtank embarked on developing the OpenSense, then named ENV-01, based on the requirements of Martin’s business. This was then funded through Derby University Decarbonise Project and rolled out into 6 local Derbyshire manufacturing businesses with the aim to decarbonise manufacturing and lead the way for a cleaner and more sustainable future. Fast forward into 2024 and the ENV-01 was then renamed OpenSense under the branding of OpenSmartMonitor and turnkey monitoring solutions we call Sustainable Business Intelligence (SBI).
CCO, Martin Rigley OBE:
“The team here at Devtank are real innovators of great technology made for the everyday manufacturer. When I first met Devtank and put forward my needs for energy and environmental data at Lindhurst, Tim and Joe were reassuring that they could build me what I needed. As the guinea-pig for this technology, I got to see first hand the power the OpenSense has and what it means for a business. Having that data at the touch of a button drove Lindhurst to reduce water usage, save £25k in energy bills, and increase productivity by 25%.
When the opportunity arose for me to work again with Devtank, I couldn’t say no.”
